Hall Effect Technology
Traditional mechanical switches use physical contacts — they wear, they debounce, they snap between fixed points. Hall Effect uses magnetic fields. Nothing touches. Nothing wears. Actuation exists in continuous analog space, infinitely adjustable.
6 Chips. One Job Each.
Distributed 1 Master + 5 Zone MCU architecture. Each section processes independently — no single point of failure. Smart power dynamically allocates during intense use, conserves when idle.

FAQ
Quick AnswersQuick Answers
Everything you need to know about purchasing the Rei Edition.
Is this officially licensed?
Yes. This is an officially licensed EVANGELION product authorized by Khara, Inc.
What makes the Rei edition different from the Asuka edition?
Beyond the character theme, the Rei edition is the Centauri 80 (vs. 60 for Asuka), which adds a full function row, arrow keys, and the exclusive 325 PPI OLED touchscreen. The knob is Cool Silver (vs. Rose Gold). The sound profile is tuned lower and deeper. The design language is restrained where Asuka's is assertive.
What is Hall Effect and why does it matter?
Hall Effect keyboards use magnetic sensors instead of physical contacts. Nothing touches, nothing wears out. Actuation is measured in continuous analog space — enabling 0.01mm Rapid Trigger, which is mechanically impossible with traditional switches.
Does Rapid Trigger require software running in the background?
No. Configure once via MelGeek Hive (open a browser — no install required), and all settings save to onboard memory. The keyboard runs fully standalone.
What can I display on the OLED screen?
JPG, JPEG, PNG, and GIF formats. Upload and manage wallpapers through MelGeek Hive. The Rei Edition ships with her portrait pre-loaded — you can switch to any image you like, or keep it exactly as it came.
Is this a limited edition? Will it restock?
Yes, limited run. No planned restock. Once stock depletes, it will not return.
Compatible with Mac and Linux?
Yes. Fully plug-and-play on Mac, Windows, and Linux. MelGeek Hive Web Driver works in any modern browser without installation — no OS restrictions.

Customer Reviews
Overall rating: 4.9 / 5 from 43 reviews.
To start off, I was pleasantly surprised at how detailed the packaging was. The keyboard was a lot heavier than I thought it was gonna be, but I believe the heft is a good sign of quality (I’m aware of the material and its weight). There was so many opportunities for what to use the little touch screen for, it feels very handy and I enjoy using it. There was a slight issue for the tab key though, it made a different sound when pushed down and also felt like it had a different resistance as compared to the other keys. It felt a bit more stuck and not as smooth. Overall, I am very pleased with everything: the quality, the attention to detail, and the amount of possibilities I can do with the mini touchscreen.
Absolutely gorgeous and worth every penny. Compliments my setup so well. I love it.
So far 1 month into owning it I feel that it is a great keyboard. Yes it is on the pricey side but it more than makes up for it in build quality. I will say the website can be a little slow at times and a bit laggy but it still offers a great deal of keyboard customization.
Feels great to type on, sounds great, and looks great as well.
The keyboard itself is awsome and insanely good but the mousepad is heavily damaged and is nearly unusable. so if you want to order this item be prepared.I messaged them about an exchange or a refound, still no reply.
Pretty fucking sweet
零号機の静謐な世界観が完璧に表現されてる…アルミの質感が高級感があって最高。
fantastic. fits the theme well and is a great keyboard. recommend it
I don't usually buy custom boards, but I couldn't pilot anything else after seeing this.
The magnetic switch performance on this Unit-00 board is unmatched. A dream for Rei stans!
Quiet, precise, and insanely fast. Perfectly captures Rei's calm yet powerful aura.
So clean and serene. The blue and white aluminum chassis feels straight out of NERV HQ.
Amazing!!! Good quality great attention to detail literally looks just like the photo, amazing communication. Thank you so much. My son was so happy with this matches has exclusive mouse had as well. Everything looks amazing completes the whole setup for him
The Keyboard sounds really nice and is of crazy good quality. I Really love it.
Its exactly how i thought it would be. Really good build quality, hefty and keys feel nice.
The keyboard's build quality is excellent, and the many references to Rei are incredible.
Love the keyboard
Love the colors and feel of the board. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a well performing upscale keyboard! Or maybe just a person who's a fan of the Evangelion series.
Amazing keyboard, I've loved the quality from the month that I've had it, only thing is I accidently deleted one of the Rei images on the OLED screen and don't know how to find it. :sob:
At first I was unsure if I'd made the right decision buying it, but now that I have it, I don't regret it at all. The keyboard is simply phenomenal. It's a delight to use.
It's a good keyboard... but honestly there is a lot of good ones being made by good beings... So, pick the one that looks best to you and have the features you want because honestly... there has been many great products out there that reviews never could do it justice... Thank you for trying and making something nice... not just melgeek but all those brands, companies, and beings behind them trying to make something cool for the world to enjoy and love. Also sorry about any bad reviews or miss judgements i may have left on some of those products... sometimes stuff is just happening that makes us miss the important stuff...
Great keyboard. Solid and love the features.
got both rei and asuka keyboards. shipped and arrived quickly
I like it but the future update i really like if i can change the oled screen functions vertically
I absolutely adore the keyboard and it is exactly what i expected, but i had to wait 1 month and 6 days for the shipping when it was just going to be 10 business days max.
Works really well, and looks beautiful. Ive gotten used to it pretty fast as well, which is a nice bonus. 10/10 Rei is worth every cent🥹
Best keyboard to this day, that I've used.
Fantastic keyboard. Hefty weight, and it feels as nice as you’d expect to receive with a high dollar purchase. The keys feel great, this is my first magnetic switch board and I find it every bit as satisfying to use as my traditional mechanical keyboards. My main use case is gaming.
Really cool keyboard and awesome buying experience. Will buy again.
Yes this keyboard is quite expensive, but this thing is truly amazing and top of the line The screen is beautiful and very useful All the keys make really nice noticed especially the enter and backspace that make a different sound compared to the rest. It was very nice weight and feel, the keyboard is very detailed and it even comes with a beautiful cable matching the keyboard And this is definitely one of the most premium packages I've ever gotten
Amazing keyboard. I love all the details
great keyboard, amazing details, and came on time.
An excellent keyboard. Very strong materials and i Love the mini screen, fluid typing. Maybe Could have extra memory tu load more imagen.

The keyboard is such great quality. The collaboration was done so beautifully, it’s not too much or too little. It really feels like a function piece of art.
