What makes the Rei edition different from the Asuka edition?
Beyond the character theme, the Rei edition is the Centauri 80 (vs. 60 for Asuka), which adds a full function row, arrow keys, and the exclusive 325 PPI OLED touchscreen. The knob is Cool Silver (vs. Rose Gold). The sound profile is tuned lower and deeper. The design language is restrained where Asuka’s is assertive.
What is Hall Effect and why does it matter?
Hall Effect keyboards use magnetic sensors instead of physical contacts. Nothing touches, nothing wears out. Actuation is measured in continuous analog space — enabling 0.01mm Rapid Trigger, which is mechanically impossible with traditional switches.
Does Rapid Trigger require software running in the background?
No. Configure once via MelGeek Hive (open a browser — no install required), and all settings save to onboard memory. The keyboard runs fully standalone.

Loves everything about it ! Only small thing is the mouse pad came folded in half and had a crease down the middle . Maybe rolling it would be better !
Keyboard looks and feels great. Coming from a razer huntsman elite with purple switches and the HE switches feel so good. The smaller form factor is also nice since I have much more desk and mousepad space. No complaints at all. Love the design of the keyboard, really what sold me on it, didnt expect it to look so nice in person though. it looks sick on my desk.
Great quality keyboard, sounds, feels, and performs amazing, function customization software is super versatile. My only critique is that the lighting customization software is lacking and a bit buggy compared to other softwares like Ngenuity.
As someone who has gone through way too many keyboards, this is the best one I've ever had. Insane build quality, very stable keys, amazing sound and it feels perfect to play on.
