What's the difference between the 60% and 80%?
The 60% uses a multifunction knob for on-the-fly control and is built for maximum desk space and competitive gaming. The 80% adds arrow keys, a function row, and the 325 PPI OLED touchscreen for users who want more direct key access and the full command center experience.
Does Rapid Trigger require software to be running?
No. Rapid Trigger and all of your actuation, lighting, and macro settings are saved to the keyboard's onboard memory, so they keep working on any computer without the configurator open in the background.
Is the keyboard compatible with Mac and Linux?
Yes. The Centauri works as a standard USB keyboard on Windows, macOS, and Linux. The HIVE configurator runs in your browser, so you can tune Rapid Trigger, lighting, and macros from any operating system.
Can I swap the switches?
Yes. The magnetic Hall Effect switches are hot-swappable — pull and replace them without soldering using the included keycap & switch puller.
Can I change the leaf spring stiffness?
Yes. The Centauri ships with Medium leaf springs pre-installed, and Soft or Hard kits are available separately through customer service to fine-tune the typing feel.
What can I upload to the OLED screen?
You can upload your own JPG, PNG, or GIF wallpapers to the 325 PPI OLED touchscreen and change them anytime to personalize your keyboard.
